Architectural Linescapes book by Amalia Sanchez de la Blanca
If you want to treat yourself or someone you know to a book, then do check out Architectural Linescapes book by Amalia Sanchez de la Blanca.
Or, if you want the full title, Architectural Linescapes, A Collection of Iconic Building Portraits.
This isn’t from one of the big publishers. Far from it, WowHaus reader and former architect Amalia Sanchez de la Blanca has self-published this book, showcasing both her skills for detailed architectural drawings and her passion for interesting and period architecture.
Organised chronologically, the 72 eye-catching illustrations inside give an overall view of the evolution of architecture all around the world, from Tudor times to the more contemporary (and controversial) Brutalist buildings of the 20th Century.
It’s a hardback signed limited edition book, 210x210mm and printed on 170 silk paper. So a quality publication. And an interesting one too, which I hope comes across in the imagery on show here. Many are available from the website as prints too, but it’s nice having so many pulled together in a coffee table publication.
Only 100 copies are being produced, and a number have already sold. So, if you want one, perhaps get in quickly. The book is available directly from the Linescapes website, selling for £39 with free delivery.
