Fenner midcentury sofas and armchair at Habitat
If you are working on a mid-20th century finish for your home, then the new Habitat range is worth a browse, not least the Fenner sofas and armchair.
For me it’s the standout piece of the range (although some abstract rugs run it a close second). Unashamedly midcentury in influence, the range include a two-seater sofa, a three-seater sofa and an armchair.
Don’t like orange or grey? Don’t worry, you can pick from six fabric options, plus an additional six in velvet, along with two Italian-made viscose mix fabrics. In short, plenty to go at and you can get free swatches before you commit.
The design is as you might expect, with an angular shape, slipped back plus button detailing on back and seat plus gently tapering legs. But with more substance and comfort than you tend to get from this kind of design.
A for the price, £795 for the armchair, with sofas from £1,200, depending on the size.
