It’s the series that keeps on growing. The latest addition is the Modernist Belgrade Map by Blue Crow Media.
You know the rail now, this is a wonderful fold-out map showcasing the best modernist buildings in a particular location, in this case Belgrade.
Edited by local architect and researcher Ljubica Slavkovica and with photographs by Relja Ivanic, this is a bilingual guide featuring fifty of the most significant examples of Modernist and Brutalist architecture built in Belgrade during the Tito era, some of which are pictured here.
Celebrated buildings such as the elegant Palace of Serbia by a team of architects led by Vladimir Potocnjak, and later Mihajlo Jankovic, the unique Museum of Aviation by Ivan Straus and the Genex Tower by Mihajlo Mitrovic are included alongside Branislav Jovin’s Brutalist masterpiece, the Urban Planning Institute plus a selection of iconic concrete housing blocks across Belgrade.
That map is out now and available to order online, selling for £8.
