I don’t think we have featured anything from this town before, so that’s two reasons to flag up the High Close contemporary modernist property in Scarborough, North Yorkshire.
The second reason is obviously the architecture, an award winning property from the Bramhall Blenkharn partnership.
It’s a place with some style too, dating back to 2010 and designed to offer ‘panoramic views’ of the sea to the east of this place, notably from the upper floor of this two-storey build. Wonderful ‘framing’ to either side too.
Cutting edge design throughout and a good amount of living space too. Let’s look at the latter first, with the upper level offering an open plan kitchen dining room with sliding doors onto the balcony, an office area, cinema room, and two en-suite bedrooms. A kitchen also overlooks the double height living room, which has a focal pint of a modern architect designed fireplace.
The lower level has the open plan living room, games room, guest suite and master bedroom suite.
No shortage of whistles and bells too, everything underfloor heating and oak flooring to premium finishes for the kitchen and bathrooms and of course, that wonderful cinema room with cinema screen, surround sound and projector.
Outside you’ll find a driveway with space for parking multiple vehicles, a separate garage and a good amount of garden, which covers around half an acre.
£799,995 is the asking price.
