On the market: Two-bedroom art deco-style apartment in Leigh-On-Sea, Essex
Is it an original art deco property? We think not. But we still like the look and location of this two-bedroom art deco-style apartment in Leigh-On-Sea, Essex.
It is part of an ‘exclusive art deco style development of five purpose built apartments’, which does give a heavy hint of this being a fairly recent build. Not that we are criticising on that basis. Far from it.
The fact that we are discussing the issue indicates what a good job has been done. Yes, the balconies are contemporary and inside, you are also talking modern-era finishes. But that’s often the case with most period deco houses and apartments these days anyway.
What is selling this place is the bold exterior, the windows, the curves and of course, the coastal location and its accompanying views. On the downside, this is a ground floor apartment, so the views are perhaps a little more limited than the ones upstairs.
In terms of space, this apartment has an entrance hall leading to an open plan living and dining room (with access to the outside sun terrace), a kitchen / breakfast room, a master bedroom with en-suite shower room, a second bedroom and a family bathroom.
Outside is the sun terrace we mentioned, which leads onto communal lawns. There’s also a secure shed for storage, a garage space in a separate black and an additional allocated parking space.
If that appeals, the asking price is £459,950.
