1969 is the year of production, with this archive documentary (via @LdnMetArchives) showcasing the development scheme for a residential area in the City and the start of building works in the Barbican. The idea was to provide about 7,000 people with flats and houses, as well as shops, schools and a wide range of cultural and other amenities following wartime destruction.
Well worth 20 minutes of your time, especially if you have an interest in the development..
