It needs updating, there’s no question of that, regardless of whether you love the era or not. The kitchen looks recent, but outside of that, not a lot seems to have changed over the decades, from the flooring to the lighting fittings and especially the bathrooms and dressing areas.
But that’s just decor in the main. This is still an impressive house that would lend itself to modern living very easily. It is down as an individually designed property, found in one of Cheadle’s ‘premier locations’ and packed with interesting features, note least the extensive glazing, the exposed stone inside and out, some rather grand internal doors, fitted units (and ‘unusual’ wall cladding) along with the well-maintained and extensive plot. With a bit of imagination, this could be a dream modernist hangout.
Space certainly isn’t going to be an issue.
