Interestingly, this was first for sale back in 2011. Fast forward six years and this 1920s art deco property in Truro, Cornwall returns to the market.

But it is hard to do a ‘compare and contrast’ with the original listing as that had very few images. But it did offer a few interesting details about the architecture.

That listing pointed to this being as 1920s rather than a 1930s build and a house that was extended. This was apparently a single-storey house in its original form, but at some point in its history an additional floor was added. No, we couldn’t spot that either. Someone has done a really good job on that front.

The end result is a grand floor that keeps a number of architectural details and an upper floor generally in keeping with it, as well as offering an elevated vantage point to take in some great views from inside or via the balcony space outside.

The interior is fairly plain and simple, obviously modernised and maintained in the recent past. But it could take more of the ‘period’ if you want to go down that route.

As for space, that includes a ‘generous’ dual aspect sitting room with double sliding doors leading to the front balcony and those views, a fitted kitchen with modern appliances and a utility, a formal dining room with curved art deco window looking out onto the front garden and a study (or bedroom four).

There is also a master bedroom with balcony access, en-suite and dressing room along with s family shower room serving the two bedrooms on the ground floor.

Of course, there’s also a period detached double garage with electric up and over door. This also hides a WC and sink along with an office located above the garage with a ‘plethora’ of electric and phone sockets if you want to work from home.

Gardens too, plus a front slate patio area and an alfresco dining area for outside living.

Interestingly, the house is on the market for less than last time out. This time the price is at £475,000.
