On the market: Contemporary art deco-inspired property in Frinton-On-Sea, Essex
If you think Frinton-On-Sea you think art deco. Indeed, we have featured a number of original art deco builds in the area in the past. But this is something a little different, a contemporary art deco-inspired property in Frinton-On-Sea, Essex.
Yes, obviously wanted to fit in with the rest of the local architecture, this new build takes the look of that era / style But little else in truth.
The outside grabs you, as does the position, which means wonderful sea views and a design that maximises them. But beyond that, this is very much what you would expect from a premium 2015 new build.
If that’s what you are looking for, read on. If you want some original period detail, we expect something will drop onto the market in Fronton sometime soon.
Anyway, let’s focus on this place, which certainly offers a good deal of space and a slightly unusual layout, which is likely down to working with those sea views.
The ground floor has an entrance hall, the first bedroom with en-suite and dressing room, two more bedrooms, each with an en-suite, plus a lobby area, utility room and access to the garage.
Head up to the first floor and you’ll find a cloakroom, a lounge with bi-folding doors leading to the substantial balcony area, a fitted kitchen and dining room space, a fourth bedroom with en-suite and a potential fifth bedroom which could work as a study.
Outside space is gardens to front and rear, along with that double garage.
£1,200,000 is the asking price, with an open day later this month.

It’s an odd one this – I *think* it’s actually a converted more conventional house, rather than a complete new build. If you look at satellite photos you’ll see a rectangular house, with no curving frontage, on that plot. It seems an oddly expensive property for Frinton.
