On the market: 1960s Revel Fox-designed three-bedroom house in Milnerton, near Cape Town, South Africa
We’ve never done a property in South Africa before, so when regular contributor Craig pointed out this Revel Fox-designed three-bedroom house in Milnerton, near Cape Town, South Africa, we thought we had to feature it.
This midcentury modern place was designed by the noted architect (look him up) back in the 1960s and still looks a distinctive build today. It’s also said to be in a good location too, only 7 or 8 minutes from the city centre. You can also see Table Mountain and Lions Head from the back garden, which is some view, I’m sure you’ll agree.
In terms of features, those views apart, the house is situated on a large plot, not far from a golf course and with high ceilings, ‘exotic’ wood flooring and bedrooms that all lead out into the garden. There’s also a central courtyard and an outside swimming pool.
As for the accommodation, the house offers up a large fitted ‘galley’ kitchen with oven, hob, extractor and lots of storage, a lounge / dining room with fireplace and flow to an outside entertainment patio with that pool, along with a study, three bedrooms (one with an en-suite), not to mention ‘staff quarters’ with bathroom, a double garage with direct access to the home and a car port with plenty of off-street parking.
If you fancy a move to South Africa, the asking price is the equivalent of £221,000.
