Half price: Amaya 1950s-style floor lamp at La Redoute
I’ve been a fan of this particular design for some time, and now it’s even more appealing as the Amaya 1950s-style floor lamp at La Redoute is half price.

Or have a look at this one, which I first spotted on my Retro To Go site back in 2022. It has crept up in price since then and does come and go a bit out of the range, but with the discount, it is as cheap now as it has ever been.
Its appeal is down to its simplicity, very much a thing back in the 1950s, which is where the design takes its inspiration. European design from the mid-20th century.
At its heart is the iron structure covered with epoxy paint, topped off with three cotton cone-shaped lampshades in yellow, blue and red. A nod to slightly earlier Bauhaus design. There’s a switch on the base to control it.
Usually £109.99, the discount should bring that down to around £55. An absolute steal for this.
