The Eames House pop art print by Josh Agle

I love this artist, and the subject matter is perfect. Yes, I would love The Eames House pop art print by Josh Agle.
In fact, I have a print of Josh Agle (aka Shag) on the wall above my desk. A 1960s Parisian street scene, to be precise, bought something like 25 years ago when the artist was still making his name. I interviewed him around that time too.

The range has increased over those years, taking in fashion and interior design too. But the art is still front and centre, and the inspiration of the mid-20th century is still there, too. So it’s no surprise to see him tackling midcentury modern architecture and one of its icons.

This is a limited-edition serigraph featuring The Eames House, also known as Case Study House Number 8, and designed and constructed in 1949 by Charles & Ray Eames. It was their home and studio until their passing and pretty much embodies everything about the midcentury modern movement.

The print features the house, the designers, and their grandchildren, who gave the artist a tour of the house. Nice touch.
It’s a limited edition print of 200, available framed or unframed directly from the artist. $650 is the price.
