Artemide Nessino table lamp in special edition colours

A design I love, but a little different. That’s the Artemide Nessino table lamp in special edition colours.

The Nessino is a classic of space-age design. The smaller version of the Nesso table lamp, designed in the 1960s by Giancarlo Mattioli and Gruppo Architetti, has a wonderful mushroom-like design and is the kind of finishing touch any 1960s or retro home is crying out for.

The standard shades are orange and white, with a red launched last year, too. In fact, I featured the orange in my round-up of the 20 best orange table lamps over at my Retro To Go blog. There are cheaper orange lamps out there, but few are as appealing to the eye.

Or, if you don’t like orange (or white), you can enjoy the new set of special edition (and presumably limited edition) colours that have just landed.

Take your pick from yellow, green, and two shades of blue. They are all very ‘of the era’ and add a touch of pop art to a very ‘pop’ design.

Still the same lamp, still made of polycarbonate, but with extra colours that might well suit your decor a touch more. You can pick them up from the Finnish Design Shop for £231 each.
