Brutalism at Christmas? That is indeed the case, courtesy of the Brutalist Christmas cards by In From The Storm.
It’s to a bad idea, even if sounds like a rather strange one. Brutalist architecture has never been so ‘hip’ and if you know someone who has a passion for all of that concrete, this could be the perfect way sending the season’s greetings.
The cards are the work of Dollydagger (the noted vintage fashion retailer) working alongside Nick Miners Photography, producing the cards that are very much about the buildings, but with a festive/winter finish.
In case you are wondering, the budding featured on the cards are Welbeck Street car park, the architecturally significant car park in Marylebone, central London, along with the Barbican (which needs no introduction) and Glenkerry House, the housing block located on the Brownfield Estate in Poplar, London and designed by the Erno Goldfinger Studio.
If you like one design, each is available in a pack of six cards. Alternatively, you can go for a mixed pack of six, with two each of those A6-sized designs.
Regardless of the pack choice, each one sells for £15.
