Janeiro midcentury furniture range at Maisons Du Monde

A little different from the norm, which makes the Janeiro midcentury furniture range at Maisons Du Monde all the more appealing.

The name probably gives the game away in terms of inspiration, with this range inspired by Brazilian modernist design of the mid-20th century. I know, who would have expected that on the high street?

I love the dark wood finish of these pieces, which is actually mango wood, as well as the occasional splash of colour. Not unlike the Ronda furniture at La Redoute in fact.

In addition to that, you get all those lovely midcentury touches too, such as the tapered legs and hidden handles for example. A fairly wide range of designs within the range too.

That includes a large sideboard with contrasting colour panels, a smaller sideboard with colour detail for the drawers, a chest of drawers with similarly-coloured panels, a plain wood sideboard, a taller set of drawers (or cabinet), a vintage-style desk, a TV unit and a small wood coffee table.
A range you can dip in and out of or you can go for the full works and kit out a room with a clutch of your favourites.

The range has recently grown (the TV unit and the tall cabinet have both recently landed), so there might be more to follow. But if you like anything available now, prices are between £160 and £699.50 depending on the item you go for.
See all of the designs and some accessories that also form part of the range at the Maisons Du Monde website.
