Sheffield midcentury modern furniture range at Maisons Du Monde
Not period pieces, but the Sheffield midcentury modern furniture range at Maisons Du Monde could pass for vintage items.
Yes, another range from the high street (or online at least) that offers a mid-2h century look for the modern-day home and without paying original vintage prices.
There are currently three designs in the range, all working a similar look and of course, similar functionality. Take your pick from the bookcase (which is probably more of a general storage unit), a three-door TV self (which could also adapt itself as all-round shelving if you need it) and the sideboard, which offers plenty of storage both inside and on top.
All have a natural wood finish, boosted by a stained oak covering, along with feature black panels, tapered legs and some nice angled detailing on the drawers.
Functional, stylish and with the right look if you are kitting out a house or apartment dating from the middle of the 20th century.
All are available to buy online, with the bookcase at £899.50, the TV shelf unit £804 and the sideboard with three drawers retailing for £699.50.

If you want an alternative, do check out the 1960s Ronda furniture range at La Redoute, which I featured on the site last week.
