Once upon a time it was almost impossible to get a range of midcentury interior design pieces. These days they seem to be popping up everywhere. But none are quite as extensive as the Quilda furniture range at La Redoute.
Yes, La Redoute, the company that brought us the rather wonderful Watford shelving system. In fact, the current range is packed with designs along those lines, with the Quilda range being the most prominent.
This is a range that just keeps on growing. Starting off as a couple of coffee tables, it now offers pieces for almost every room in the house, from the living room to the bedroom and much in-between. In fact, the range now takes in 24 designs and on current form, that might well increase as the year progresses.
That’s no bad thing. A matching range is perfect for kitting out an entire room, with the plain wood finish also pretty flexible in matching up with other similar (think vintage) pieces too.
Do have a browse of the full range on the retailer’s site, but to give you a taste, I have picked out a few items to showcase just what you can get.
That includes the sideboard plate rack / dresser top for £269 and the medium coffee table pictured at the top of the page for £239. Working down the page, there is also the Quilda retro desk for £549, the wood bed for £509, the TV unit (£525), the vintage wardrobe (£1,249), the double top coffee table (£199), the Quilda cabinet (£435) and a four-drawer console table for £409.
More too, so do check out the La Redoute site to see everything. Note that the retailer currently has 30 per cent off everything right now in its home department, so those prices are in reality much cheaper than quoted. At least, they are for now.
