This is interesting, not least because this 1960s Patrick O’Keefe-designed modernist property in Langley, Kent was on this site when last up for sale some years back.

We are actually going back to 2012 in regard to that last sale, which gives us an option to compare and contrast. Unfortunately, back then, we only used a limited number of photos so there is only so much cross referencing we can do.

Not a lot looks to have changed externally. Which is obviously a good thing if this 1960s look appealed to you previously. It certainly appealed to us. As for the inside, that might be a slightly different story.

The agent points out that the house has been ‘very well refurbished and maintained’ by the current owners. Although the look and feel doesn’t seem to changed dramatically.

We love this kind of ‘raised’ property, which is boosted by large picture windows that flood the living room with light, as well as offering some wonderful views over the surrounding countryside.

That first floor features an open-plan living / dining area with wood burner, along with the kitchen, three bedrooms and a shower room.

Head downstairs and you will find a study, a large utility room and a large garage.

Outside of the house is a short driveway for addition vehicle parking and the ‘generous’ plot and its gardens. The agent also points out that there is ‘plenty of scope to extend’ by converting the garage or filling in the existing car port beneath the house. There are plans to do that, although you do wonder if that would kill off part of the architectural appeal of this one.

If you like it as it is, the house is on the market for a little more than last time out, now up for £495,000.
