This didn’t actually start out like this. But right now you can buy this 1960s Arthur Rubenstein-designed four-storey modernist property in London SE3.

Originally, this was a pair of split level maisonettes, following the pattern for the rest of the terrace. But more recently, the current owner decided to merge two of those units together. So now you have a four-storey house.

So that’s another selling point. Although the bold modernist (almost brutalist) design, the glazing spanning the width of the house and the great views that offers already had us hooked.

As you might expect from a recent conversion, this isn’t going to be any kind of 1960s time capsule. But a look at the agent’s imagery suggests that the look and feel is still very much of that original decade.
