We don’t normally cover houses of this era, but we think this grade II-listed Georgian property in Aspatria, Cumbria might have real potential for the money being asked.

Bizarrely, Dresden House (that’s the name of the place) is up for sale on eBay (yes, really), with some hand-drawn plans on the listing. Check that out if you want an insight into what’s behind the front door, as there are no images available sadly.

According to the seller, this is a ‘very large period townhouse’ built around 1840 and with its own gardens and large yard ad around 10 miles from the Lake District national park.

It has apparently ‘undergone considerable renovation’ and now requires ‘internal completion and external decoration’. Hence no internal shots.

If you want it, the house is listed for just £155,000. I know it needs work and the location seems fairly isolated, but that’s still sounds like a very cheap price if you want something period and grand.
