On the market: Jade Jagger-designed Lakes by Yoo waterside property in Lechlade, Gloucestershire
Fancy living near the water? Really near the water? How about pretty much on it? If that’s good with you, let’s talk about this Jade Jagger-designed Lakes by Yoo waterside property in Lechlade, Gloucestershire.
Yes, THAT Jade Jagger, the actress, model and now designer, as well as the daughter of Mick and Bianca. I’ll be honest, we don’t go in for celebrity culture, so it’s just a side issue for us. We just care about the house and to be fair, she has done a great job.
Great location too, with views over the rather substantial Warrens Cross Lake. It also sits on a ‘substantial plot’ if you want to get away from the water, with easy access to tennis courts, a pet hut, the soccer pitch, a herb garden and (bizarrely) a chicken coop. A swimming pool and spa is a short distance away too and if you need any help with anything, a porter/ concierge is on hand. Yes, it’s that kind of development.
As for the house, that’s a two-storey eco property with timber cladding plus extensive glazing at the front to take in those headline views. A 40ft. terrace helps to enjoy them even more on a warm, sunny day.
Inside this is very much the contemporary house with a few ‘unique’ touches , but generally clean and stylish. Space includes a large living room with real log fire for when the temperatures drop, a separate TV room/snug with built-in black lacquer bench seats and storage and a double height dining area that opens onto the terrace taking up the ground floor. Actually, that’s not quite it, with a double size guest bedroom and separate shower room also on this floor. Ideal guest space.
Head up the stairs and you will find an open landing with study area overlooking the private garden and woodland. Further along is the master bedroom with bathroom, the latter with a lake view from the bath. Let’s hope you aren’t overlooked. Two further double bedrooms are also on this floor, both with full lake views, with a family bathroom finishing things off.
It’s a luxury living space with plenty of whistles and bells with a price tag to match. £1,250,000 is that price.
