There’s something incredibly original and authentic about this 1950s William Landsberg-designed modernist property in Port Washington, New York, USA.
From what we can see, it looks well maintained, but doesn’t look like it has been radically updated or changed over the decades. The bold architecture of the 1950s is still very much intact.
That architecture nestles amongst the surrounding nature, with wood cladding making sure the house fits in with those surroundings and plenty of glazing to take advantage of it. Great design.
As we said, little looks to have been altered here. Certainly very little (if anything) with the exterior, while the interior still boasts its exposed brick and wood panelling, as well as some cleaner, more contemporary finishes elsewhere. It really looks like it just needs that special touch to bring it back to life and sharpen it up in places.
Around 2,173 sq. ft. of living area inside, which includes four bedrooms and two bathrooms, as well as ‘spacious entertaining spaces’ elsewhere – most of it found on the upper level of the property.
Down below, there is a finished basement and what looks like a double garage. Around 0.49 acres of land too.
Fancy it? The price is $1,150,000 if you do.
