Build a mini masterpiece: The Lego Architect by Tom Alphin
It isn’t out for a while, but we feel compelled to share with you The Lego Architect by Tom Alphin, which is coming out via No Starch Press.
If you like the Lego Architecture sets that appear now again, then this is likely to be for you. If you can’t afford to build your own full-size dream home (or want some practice for when you can), it might also appeal to you too.
The 192-page book is essentially your guide to recreating classic architecture. It promises everything from Neoclassical and Art Deco through Brutalism and Modernism, with each chapter including a discussion of the architectural movement, photographs of famous real-life buildings, a gallery of previously-made Lego models and when you are feeling brave or motivated enough, step-by-step instructions on how to build your very own mini models.
Of course, you’ll need the bricks, but they are obviously readily available. The book is available to pre-order now ahead of a 25th August release date, priced at £16.50.
