In need of renovation: Three-bedroom terraced property in the Chamberlin, Powell and Bon-designed Vanbrugh Park Estate, London SE3
Of course, the names are perhaps most associated with the iconic Barbican Estate and Golden Lane Estate, but this lesser-known three-bedroom terraced property in the Chamberlin, Powell and Bon-designed Vanbrugh Park Estate, London SE3 is still an interesting prospect.
It doesn’t look it from the outside though, which is why we have this down as a renovation. Inside though is a different matter.
Anyway, the house, is part of a mixed modernist building estate dating from around 1962 and not far from Greenwich Park.
This is a terraced property on Combe Avenue and quite a stark one judging by the frontage. But inside, the house is more bright and open, with a large reception area and a full-height window at the rear helping in that respect.
Some work has obviously been done here and some original features survive (check out the staircase for example), but overall, it does need some finishing touches to give this modernist terrace a ‘wow’ factor.
As for space, there is that open plan living area downstairs, along with three bedrooms, a bathroom and some garden space outside.
No chain and an asking price of £500,000.
