Yes, we did feature another house by the same designer in a similar location recently, but we think The Moorings John Pardey-designed modernist property in Wargrave, near Reading, Berkshire is just as stunning. If not more so.

John Pardey designed this place back k in 2008, picking up a RIBA Best Contemporary UK House award for it not long after. You’ll find it in a ‘very private position’ on the banks of the River Loddon (not far from the River Thames) and built on steel stilts to take maximum advantage of the surrounding views.
