On the market: Four-bedroom Huf Haus in Forest Row, East Sussex
Big thanks to @Soft_Robot on Twitter for pointing us in the direction of this four-bedroom Huf Haus in Forest Row, East Sussex.
I think we’ve covered the Huf Haus enough now for you to know what it is. But for late arrivals, this is contemporary modernist design out of Germany, designed by the prospective owners in conjunction with the German makers. After that, a team of tradesman from Germany comes in to build it exactly as you planned.
The result is what you see here, bright and modern open plan living for the 21st century. Sadly, the Huf Haus isn’t a cheap option (for either the house and probably the land too), so the asking price of a Huf Haus for sale is rarely a bargain. Not that too many come to market. After all, these are custom builds, so with that in mind, you would expect the people behind them to stay in them.
Not so in this case, with the post and beam house being offered here (which is around seven years old) having all the usual Huf features, especially that open space, floor to ceiling glazing and energy efficiency, along with electrically operated blinds when you need some privacy.
Accommodation is over three levels. There is an entrance on the lower ground floor to the utility room, along with access to the double garage. Also on this floor is an inner staircase hall, guest bedroom suite weigh shower room and a plant/laundry room.
The upper ground floor has the main entrance and entrance hall, along with a study (or 5th bedroom), cloakroom, open plan dining / sitting room with balcony access and a contemporary kitchen. On the first floor you’ll find a landing with glazed void, master bedroom suite with shower room, a family bathroom and two more bedrooms. Outside is all about the landscaped gardens, plus a driveway, patio area and some outbuildings.
If you want to live here, the asking price is £1,275,000.
