On the market: New-build art deco-style property in Northampton, Northamptonshire
This is an interesting one. At first glance it looks like a renovated period property, But it is actually a new-build art deco-style property in Northampton, Northamptonshire.
We don’t know much about the interior, which is essentially the problem. We are guessing that this house, which has just gone on the market, is part of a new development currently being constructed. The image above (the only one we have) has something of the mock up about it.
But we are intrigued, as this place does offer the ‘look’, matched with, we would guess, a modern-day interior. That’s either a good thing or a bad thing, depending on where you stand with period features.
As for space, this place is down as offering a kitchen/dining room, cloakroom, lounge, three bedrooms (en-suite to master), study and a garage. There are dimensions of each on the agent’s site, but you probably want to see the show home to see how that looks in reality.
Price-wise, the house here is down as £219,950, with viewings now available (so at least one of these must be built).

Update: This seems to be part of a larger development of houses at the Pearce Leatherworks in Northampton, said to mix arts and crafts-inspired homes with art deco-styled properties. The builder’s site is here, which also shows the image of a detached deco-style property below, presumably another option on the development.
