In need of renovation: 1930s three-bedroom art deco property in Towyn, Conwy, North Wales
We’re taking a punt on this one because we can’t see inside. But just image the original Critall windows in the 1930s three-bedroom art deco property in Towyn, Conwy, North Wales above and check out the price. You’ll then get an idea of just why we are flagging this up.
As you can see, images are pretty much non-existent here. The agent shows the front of the house and the plot. Which is why we are so intrigued. They add that this is a ‘unique’ art deco house in spacious grounds, with ‘potential for complete renovation’. That indicates the presence of originality inside (a marble fireplace and original deco tiles for the bathroom are mentioned on the listing, for example). But again, we don’t know.
On the downside, those double glazed windows and talk of a conservatory on the back perhaps indicate that isn’t the case. If you are in the area, maybe book a viewing – and let us know more!
As for space, the front door leasing into a hall, which takes you into the lounge with that marble fireplace, with doors leading to the dual-aspect dining room. There is also a kitchen, utility and ‘sun room’, which may or may not be new. Head upstairs and there are three bedrooms and a bathroom – the latter with ‘original art deco glass tiles’. Outside is a large garden, driveway and what looks like a garage, but that isn’t listed.
The guide price is £150,000 is you are interested. If I was buying in the area, I certainly would be.
