News: Metro Modern – a map and guide to Manchester’s Twentieth Century Architecture
How does a guide to Manchester’s 20th century buildings for the price of a stamp grab you? That’s what you get with Metro Modern – a map and guide to Manchester’s Twentieth Century Architecture.
It has been created by the Manchester Modernist Society, officially launching on 26th October 2013. With this guide you will be able to tour the city by foot or on a free Metro Shuttle Bus. Which sounds like a decent day out to us.
There is a launch event – you can ride the route on a 1960s Manchester City Transport Bus from Victoria Station (1pm 26th October for free), before being dropped off at the Museum of Transport for refreshments and a tour of the Museum. If you are interested, you can book a place here.
Alternatively, the map (below) will be available from that date online for just 70p. Which seems an absolute bargain. You can get it here.
