On the market: 1970s two-bedroom architect-designed modernist property in Hampstead Village, London NW3
There is a similar one to this also on the market, but I’m attracted to this particular two-bedroom architect-designed modernist property in Hampstead Village, London NW3 just because the finish is more interesting.
But do check out both if the ‘look’ appeals and the bank balance is able. Sadly, we can’t pinpoint just who was behind this and the other similar houses, but we do believe they date back to the 1970s, a modernist take on the town house, with a design that packs in plenty of space and amenities over what looks like a fairly modest footprint.
In the case of the house here, we’re talking two bedrooms, two bathrooms and a bright 23ft reception room with sold wood floor, along with a dining room and a modern kitchen with granite work surfaces and integrated appliances. Talking of integrated, there’s also a Harmon Kardon/Bose stereo system within and an integrated garage below.
The finish is impressive too. I think you would probably call it retro modern, with the current occupier furnishing this place with plenty of original period pieces. Round TV anyone? There’s one sat in that reception room, just along from that lovely open staircase.
Not cheap, but you probably guessed that, selling for around £1,275,000.
