On the market: 1960s three-bedroom modernist property in Formby, Merseyside
I’m guessing the era, as the agent offers nothing in regard to its past. But with a look at the inside fittings, we think this is a 1960s three-bedroom modernist property in Formby, Merseyside.
It’s being marketed as a ‘knock it down’ investment opportunity, with the agent pointing to this as being ‘an excellent development opportunity’ subject to planning consents. The ‘large plot’ being key to this.
Presumably the area is a good one too, as the price seems a little heavy for a property that needs a considerable amount of updating. There is a lot of character coming out of that unfinished state, but realistically, a completely new interior will be required, perhaps working around a few interesting period features, like the ceiling for example.
But it does offer a great expansive and open plan living space, with an exterior you’ll love or hate. It does look a touch like a primary school, but that might just be down to the windows.
As for the space, the agent lists that as being three ‘entertaining’ rooms, a dining kitchen, a utility room, a boiler room, cloakroom/WC, two double bedrooms, two en-suites and a double garage. That doesn’t quite tally up with the three bedrooms listed, perhaps one of those entertaining rooms doubles as a bedroom.
Outside, that large plot has plenty of gardens and there’s also ample parking space too. £525,000 is the asking price.
