On the market: Two bedroom 1930s art deco semi-detached house in North Hayes, Middlesex
Big thanks to Phil Whyte for sending us details of this property, although he has got a vested interest – this two bedroom 1930s art deco semi-detached house in North Hayes, Middlesex is Phil’s house.
Phil has done significant work on the property, which was built back in 1933, including putting back double-glazed versions of Crittall windows for some period authenticity. Inside though, it’s a different story, with the photos showing a property mixing midcentury with ’50s Americana. If you are on the look out for a retro house, this could well be for you.
According to the agent (who describe the house as ‘a bit different’), the house also boasts ‘a floating staircase over Parquet flooring’ and is laid out with an entrance hall, living room and kitchen to the ground floor, with that staircase leading up to a landing, three bedrooms and a bathroom.
Head outside and you’ll get your own driveway, with room for two cars, along with a garage/workshop, a rear garden, side and rear access, a patio area and mature trees.
If that sounds like your kind of place, it’s on the market now for £239,950.
