On the market: One bedroom duplex apartment in Georgie Wolton-designed Cliff Road Studios, London NW1
Apparently, properties in this building ‘rarely come up for sale’, so if you want this one bedroom duplex apartment in Georgie Wolton-designed Cliff Road Studios, London NW1, you might want to get in quick.
Cliff Road Studios was originally built as a series of ‘live / work spaces’ for artists. So if that’s you, this should be ideal. Although the space would work just as well as a homeworking space or just a very cool apartment with a ’60s twist – it dates back to 1968.
The duplex apartment is located on the top two floors of Cliff Road Studios, with a double-height reception / dining room on the lower floor, with large skylights and views over the communal gardens at the rear, and to Hampstead Heath. There is also a kitchen separated by a sliding door, while an open-tread timber staircase leads to the mezzanine level, where there is an open-plan bedroom, as well as a dressing room / study and a bathroom.
There’s even some outside space, although that roof terrace is shared, as are the communal gardens. You also get off-street parking and storage space in the basement.
The downside in this day and age is that you’ll need to be a pretty established artist to use this place for its original purpose. That’s down to the selling price, which is £525,000. Many more images on the agent’s site.

One of these apartments was used as Ray Doyle’s apartment in the late 70s/early 80s LWT tv show “The Professionals”. Just spotted it on ITV4.

You are absolutely right Mark, I had a discussion on this on social media a while back. I believe it was this apartment too.
