I’ve been meaning to feature this for some time, but the images from the agent have always been of very poor quality. Thankfully that has now changed and we can show off this 1970s windmill house in Kirkham, near Blackpool, Lancashire in all its period glory.

Originally just a windmill, it was converted into a house in 1973 and still looks very much of that era. It also benefits from its own private gardens and as it towers above all else, some great views of the nearby countryside too.

That mix of original tower and 1970s annexe also offers a lot of accommodation too. On the ground floor, there’s an entrance hall, store rooms and utility room, along with three bedrooms and a family bathroom with separate WC.

A spiral staircase leads to the first floor with a dining room, lounge with a door leading to the wrap around balcony, breakfast kitchen and en-suite bedroom with a 2nd balcony leading off. To the second floor there is a 5th bedroom again with an en suite bathroom/WC.

Outside, you’ll find those gardens, along with a double garage, plus a second detached garage with up and over door. Want to see more? Check out more of those images at the agent’s site and if you want it, £695,000 is the asking price.
