We have covered Span Houses in the past, which a company that built 30 housing estates in the UK between 1948 and 1984. It was good design with equally good landscapes at affordable prices. This Eric Lyons-designed Span House on the Templemere Estate, Walton-on-Thames, Surrey is an example from the 1960s.

You’ve probably gathered that from the images, with this example not just having the early ’60s exterior, it also has a stylised 1960s-style interior too, which is a definite selling point. It sits well within the original layout, designed to maximise the light and with some lovely views out of the windows too.

The layout is fairly simple, with the ground floor offering up a hall, open plan living room and kitchen, while the first floor has three bedrooms and a bathroom.
