Details vary slightly between the sites, but not by much. Essentially, this was designed and built at the back end of the 1960s (possibly even touching into 1970), the work of Andre Maisonnier, who was a pupil of Le Corbusier.

At first glance, it still look like the space age house of the 1960s. But the fact that this is being offered as a holiday let perhaps gives you an insight into what to expect beyond the front door. Yes, it’s very much the modern house. But with a futuristic design like this, a clean modern-day interior works well inside. It probably helps with renting it out as a holiday home too.

As for layout, that’s down as bin a ‘large room’ with kitchenette, a large dining and living area, bathroom/ WC, a double bedroom with en-suite and two further bedrooms.

Outside, you’ll notice this house on stilts is surrounded by water (it’s on a small private island apparently), with fishing rights should that be your thing – or plenty of hiking and biking options if not. There’s also mention of a ‘gourmet’ restaurant nearby too, should you really want a lazy time of it.
