Spotted on an auction listing earlier, this 1960s five-bedroom modernist property in Norwich, Norfolk looks like quite an interesting project for someone.

According to the agent, it is individually architect designed and has been in the same family for 50 years. As such, this Scandinavian-inspired property (it was apparently built to a Swedish design) is in much the same condition as the day it was built.

From what we can see (and we can’t see enough to be honest), the house certainly has a distinctive look, not least with open staircase and balcony, along with the exposed brick. Interesting fireplace too and an interesting overall shape.

As we said, we really can’t see enough of all the rooms to give a fair assessment of what you get here, but if you are in the area and you like the idea of this place, might be worth nipping down for a viewing ahead of the April auction.

Space isn’t in short supply either. The details point to a ground floor with entrance hall, cloakroom, lounge, dining room, study, kitchen, utility room, three bedrooms and a bathroom, while the upper floor adds in a ‘spacious’ landing area, two bedrooms, a bathroom and a loft storage room.

Outside, you’ll find a corner plot mainly laid to lawn and an existing double garage. It’s also said to be a sought after location, although we’re not sure, not being local to the area.

If you are, the auction is on 9th April 2014 and the guide price is £350,000 – £400,000.
