Our hunt for interesting property has taken us across the Channel, with this 1970s architect-designed five bedroom house in Guarard, near Paris, France looking straight off a particularly hip movie set from that era.

We don’t know the architect, but we know it was built in 1970 by an architect with grand intent – jagged edges, space age features, huge room sizes, cathedral-style ceilings and some equally bizarre outbuildings and gardens. If someone is looking for a set for a 60s or 70s movie remake, it’s one to check out.

Every room is designed to let the light pour in, with many offering views of the  valley of Morin too. Talking of rooms, there are four bedrooms each with their own bathroom and terrace, one even having a sauna. Well-proportioned living rooms too, with modern conveniences, not least a high-end fitted kitchen.

Not enough? Well, check out the surrounding land, plenty of park land to enjoy, along with a heated swimming pool and an outbuilding with a bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchen.

Of course, film set-style living doesn’t come cheap, with this one selling for €1,090,000, which I make at £956,000.
